How To Clean Your Vape Pen

Cleaning them are a little tricky because of the sticky residue that builds up in the heating chamber. But with these simple steps, you’ll have a clean vape pen in no time!

How To Clean a Vape Pen

Cleaning your vape pen is important because it will ensure that you inhale the purest vapors possible when you use it.

Step 1: Heating your vape pen before disassembling it will make any oil or wax residue easier to wipe away. Once it has warmed up, separate the mouthpiece, heating chamber and rechargeable battery.

Step 2: Gently clean out the heating chamber with a Q-Tip dipped in rubbing alcohol or a dab tool. Some vaporizers even include a dab tool in the kit. Wipe away the sticky residue in gentle strokes in the same direction. This will avoid smearing it around the chamber. Continue this step until there is no visible residue in the heating chamber.

Step 3:  Repeat this process on the fragile heating wick/coil and the area surrounding it. If using rubbing alcohol, use as little as possible, otherwise liquid may seep into the delicate circuitry. Don’t scrape or put too much pressure on the heating wick/coil because they can be easily damaged.

Step 4. On the threading of the heating chamber, run cotton balls (to cover more surface area) and Q-tips (to get into the grooves) dipped in rubbing alcohol over them to wipe away any residue. Continue this until there is no residue left.

Step 5. Depending on what your user manual says, use either warm water or rubbing alcohol to clean the rim and inner lining of the mouthpiece.

Step 6. Wipe away any dust, particles, or residue from the female component of the rechargeable battery with a dry Q-tip or a soft cloth.

Step 7. Wipe down the outside of each piece with a soft cloth doused with rubbing alcohol or a cleaning solution recommended by your user’s manual. Let the pieces dry completely in a well-ventilated area out of direct sunlight, reassemble them, and you’ve got a new, clean vape pen!
