Here’s Why Runtz Was Our Favorite Strain Of 2020

2020 was a year of trying new things. Hey, I had never worn a mask into supermarket before! Along with trying new ways to keep myself safe, I also tried some new weed strains. Some were good and some were great. But there was one strain in particular that I couldn’t get enough of – Runtz. This hybrid strain was by far the best strain of 2020.
What is Runtz?
This rare hybrid strain is noted for it’s creamy smoke that is smooth and welcoming alongside a euphoric and elevating high that lasts for hours. Runtz has a sweet flavor and fruity profile that smells just like a bag of candy.
What does Runtz mean?
This strain gets it’s name from the sweet candy flavors that it resembles, as well as it’s colorful buds. Everyone remembers the popular childhood candy, Runts. This hybrid is the adult-friendly version of those sweet and sugary mini fruit candy, but with a little something extra!
What does it taste like?
As you’d imagine, this strain has a sweet and fruity flavor profile. After one hit, I knew this was going to be one of the best tasting strains I’ve smoked in a while. It tastes light and sweet, with a hint of tropical flavors that linger on the tongue.
Where does Runtz strain come from?
The hybrid is the result of crossing Zkittlez and Gelato. Runtz gets the best traits from each of it’s parent strains. Pulling the relaxing and euphoric effects from Zkittles, and the sweet, fruity aroma from Gelato.
What are the effects of Runtz?
Now let’s get to the best part of this strain. Runz has the ability to deliver effects that are relaxing and euphoric. It starts in the head and slowly makes it’s way down through the body, relaxing every muscle in it’s path. This flower is great for reducing anxiety and stress, and mild pain such as headaches or neck pain. After trying Runtz, I realized it was a perfect strain for smoking in the evening because of it’s relaxing and sedating effects. It didn’t immediately put me to sleep, but rather took away all my stress so I could actually relax and meditate before drifting off to sleep.
Why the Runtz strain was the best of 2020
