A Gold Rush is upon us in the Golden State of California. However, this latest wave concerns us with nuggets of another sort: marijuana. California Republicans have hailed it, and today country regulators are adopting distribution rules along with an array of related laws ahead of January 1 deadline to begin issuing retail licenses. Make no mistake, from a business perspective, the legalization of cannabis in California, home to Silicon Valley and the nation’s biggest economies, will sooner as opposed to later equate into a gold mine of a chance for startups and established companies.

That economic boom includes everything from agriculture, real estate, banking to security, paraphernalia, and you name it.But one place being left out is the autonomous sector. Sure, a drone can already provide you a pizza in California. However, the California Office of Cannabis Control is forbidding the shipping of cannabis by an autonomous car, whether from the heavens or the earth.
