Raw Smoking Unbleached Tips are perforated for easy use and made to the same high quality as the Raw papers. Using unbleached fibres gives you a natural tip with no taste. Raw Tips will strengthen your cigarette ends, help keeping tobacco out of your mouth as well as keeping the cigarette dry. Each pack of Raw Tips contains 50 tips.

Raw Smoking Tips are also known as raw roaches or raw roach tips, the word ‘roach’ being a UK expression for the word ‘tip’. Roaches are mainly used in the UK and Europe.

Simply roll a single tip into a spiral shape or zig zag the end and then roll it for a sturdy roach tip. Using RAW tips allows you to roll your preferred size cigarette filter.

Want to know more? Modern paper mills use small-structure cellulose to make paper. The original paper mills used a higher portion of fiber. For tipping paper to perform best, it needs to be made with fiber – not just boiled cellulose. Fiber-based tips roll smooth AND have enough structural rigidity to both keep their shape in your mouth AND to not dissolve. There are precious few of the original-type Fourdrinier paper machines in use. We were lucky to find this old mill; it’s the only one in the world that can produce RAW tips to our specifications.

RAW Tips are made on an antique Fourdrinier paper machine. Whereas RAW papers are made in Alcoy Spain, we only have machines to produce thin paper in Alcoy. For the thick tipping paper we had to travel to an old paper mill in Northern China that was still using an original Fourdrinier. This was the only place we could find that still had one of these old machines in use, which we needed to make the special long-fiber paper for RAW tips.

Raw Tips are made from natural unrefined chlorine-free paper. You can see the natural fibers in every sheet. We carefully cut the paper going with the grain so that each tip will roll smoothly without “squaring”. Roll them up and enjoy.
