Macaron vs. Macaroon
Both macarons and macaroons are confections, and both names are derived from ammaccare, which is Italian for “to crush” — but that’s where the similarities end.
A macaron specifically refers to a meringue-based cookie made with almond flour, egg whites, and granulated and powdered sugar, then filled. The delicate treat has a crunchy exterior and a weightless interior with a soft ending that’s almost nougatlike in its chewiness.

I can’t believe how delicious these are – I am using the edibles to help with pain management (need a hip replacement, currently bone on bone), and I don’t like to get too ‘stoned’, so I limit myself to 15-20mg at a time (25 when needed). I bought the assortment pack, cut the Lemon cookie into quarters, ate it – and it TASTED SO GOOD – I can’t believe how yummy this is – my tastebuds forced me to have another quarter right away. You really have to have self control when eating these, they are just too good!
