Contrary to popular belief, sensimilla is not a specific strain of cannabis. It is neither sativa, indica, or hybrid. Sensimilla is a highly concentrated form of female cannabis flower that has never been exposed to male plants, and can therefore be any strain.

Is sensimilla rare?

Back in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, it was rare to come by this specific type of cannabis flower. But in this day and age, growers have a lot of resources to grow sensimilla. With so many cannabis flowers on the market, growers have to keep up with popular demand for flowers with a high THC content, like sensimilla. Growers typically grow it indoors, in greenhouse conditions with careful watch.

Can anyone grow it?

Anyone can grow sensimilla. The only thing you have to do is to prevent it from being fertilized by a male plant and carefully tend to it. A lot of people want to grow it, since it produces flower with a higher THC content than a regular cannabis flower.
