Not everyone is a cannabis expert- and that’s totally ok! Everyone has to start somewhere when it comes to cannabis knowledge, and if you’re not up to par with your friends, then we’ve got you covered. It can be a little nerve wrecking to ask your local budtender a cannabis question that’s been on your mind lately, so we have put together a list of popular cannabis questions we have heard through out the years.
- Can you overdose on marijuana?
In simple terms, no. Although consuming too much THC can cause you to feel uncomfortable, no one has ever died from being too high. The most common symptoms after you’ve smoked too much or eaten too much of an edible are feeling nauseous or dizzy.
2. Will I get addicted to marijuana?
Unlike cigarettes, marijuana does not contain nicotine. Nicotine is an extremely addictive substance so without it, it is highly unlikely that you will get addicted to marijuana.
3. Does the strain of cannabis I choose matter?
Yes. Unlike in the past, there are hundreds of cultivated strains today. Each has its own medicinal benefits and effects that it delivers. If you are looking for a strain to smoke before bed, then you would want to get an indica as opposed to a sativa. Sativas are more suitable for daytime use. If you are unclear about sativas, indicas, and hybrids, just ask your local budtender and they will be more than happy to answer any questions.
4. What are some of the benefits of consuming cannabis?
Cannabis is mostly used recreationally, but it is also common to use it to ease symptoms caused by other illnesses. Many patients say that it helps with loss of appetite, insomnia, nausea, seizures, and chronic pains. Cannabis may also help with social anxiety and depression, although further tests are needed to better explain the benefits.
