I’ve always been a little hesitant to try popcorn. Let’s be honest, it usually doesn’t come with the best reputation. They aren’t as potent as regular flowers, they are don’t have as much flavor, they just aren’t up to par with their better known regular bud counterparts. Well, let me say that I was blown away with LA Weed’s Madman OG Popcorn. This flower smoked as good as top shelf bud, and for a fraction of the price.
Look & Smell
Madman OG is an indica hybrid strain with relatives in the OG family. This flower has an extremely piney aroma with a slight undertone of berries. The dense buds in this batch of Madman suggest it was well-grown, looking like freshly cut evergreen trees. Even better, they were densely coated in bright white trichomes and had an abundance of orange hairs to give it extra personality.
Smoke & Effects
Although Madman is classified as an indica hybrid, the immediate results are similar to that of an uplifting sativa, producing a significant head-rush. It then tends to become zone-inducing, with a noticeable body buzz becoming more noticeable as time continues to pass.
This strain was most helpful when attempting to battle insomnia. Not only did it help me fall asleep faster, but I seemed to wake up feeling much more well-rested. It may also be beneficial for those suffering from anxiety, chronic pain, depression, or muscle spasms.

Madman OG Popcorn was a great purchase. I for 14g for $75, so the price is truly unbeatable. They also have a deal right now where you can save $10 if you purchase 28g. As far as the actual flower, it hit me great and I didn’t experience any negative side effects. For anyone looking to get a bang for your buck, give Madman OG Popcorn a try, even if you’re usually skeptical of buying popcorn.
