If you’ve never heard of a gravity bong, it’s smoking device that’s made by using two empty plastic water bottles to funnel smoke through water, and eventually pushing that air through deep into the lungs.

Gravity bongs will get you much higher than traditional methods of smoking such as joints, because they deliver a much larger amount of smoke. They’re pretty easy to make and you probably have all the tools you need already lying around your house. Let’s learn how to make a gravity bong!

How To Make A Gravity Bong & Homemade Bong

Items you’ll need:

• Plastic soda or water bottle (any size, but 16-20 oz is ideal)
• Bucket or 2-liter plastic bottle (soda or water bottle)
• Aluminum foil
• Box cutter or sharp knife
• Poking device
• Cannabis flower

Step 1

Take the larger plastic  bottle and cut the top part off with you box cutters.

Step 2

Now cut the bottom part off of your smaller plastic bottle. Be careful not to cut off too much, as the longer you leave the length, the lager your hit will be.

Step 3

Grab the cap from your smaller bottle and make a hole in it. Use your box cutters or scissors. This will act as your bowl holder. The whole should be large enough that you’ll be able to draw air through it, but not so big that the aluminum foil will fall through.

Step 4

Make your foil bowl. Grab the aluminum foil and shape your bowl. It should be the right size to fit in the hole that you just made in the cap.

Step 5

Poke holes in the aluminum foil bowl. The cannabis will sit inside the foil bowl, so make sure your holes aren’t so big that the cannabis will slip through.

Step 6

Put your cannabis inside the foil bowl.

Step 7

Grab your larger water bottle bottom half from step 1 and fill it with water. Submerge the smaller water bottle inside of the larger one, until everything but the cap is under water.

Step 8

Put your foil bowl and cannabis onto the cap and light the cannabis. As you light it, carefully pull the smaller water bottle up so the bottom half fills with smoke.

Step 9

Once the bottle is filled with smoke, take off the foil bowl and put your mouth over the opening.

Step 10

With your mouth still on the opening, push the bottle back into the water. As you push it in, the smoke will be pushed into your mouth and lungs. Congrats, you’ve successfully achieved a gravity bong hit!
