How Do Nectar Collectors Work?

If your at all familiar with dabbing, you may have heard of a nectar collector. If not, than you probably have a very confused look on your face right now. What is a nectar collector and how does it work?
What is a nectar collector made of?
Nectar collectors are a small device that allow you to vape different concentrates. They work by vaporizing wax, badder, sugar, sauce, diamonds, shatter, etc. They look like a large straw and can be made of quartz, glass, titanium, and sometimes silicone. Think of a nectar collector as a straw with a mouthpiece, a hollow body, and a tip.
Is a nectar collector worth it?
If your an avid dabber, nectar collectors can be totally worth it. These little tools can be much easier to use than a large dab rig since they’re much more portable and easier to clean. Using one is easy. First, choose which concentrate you’d like to dab. Prepare your concentrate by placing it on a dab mat or in a dish (make sure the dish cannot be melted since you will be touching a hot metal tip to it). Than, light up the tip of your nectar collector with a lighter or torch until it’s red hot – about 30 seconds. Give it about one minute to cool down, than place your mouth on the other end of the nectar collector and place the tip onto the concentrate. The longer you hold it on the concentrate, the stronger hit you’ll get. Than inhale and enjoy your high. You may be wondering if you put water in a nectar collector? Only if you have one that has an integrated water filtration system. This will filter the vapor through the water and offer you a hit that feels less harsh.
Do they smell?
Cannabis concentrates give off a unique aroma when they burn. Whether your using a dab rig or one of these little devices, you’ll be able to smell the scent of whatever concentrate
you are dabbing.
Are they safe?
Just like with any dabbing device, you should use caution when using a nectar collector. The tip of them get extremely hot so you have to be careful to not burn yourself or any surface. If using a torch to heat up your tip, never point it at anyone or use it when close to flammable materials. Don’t take a dab while moving around, and be mindful of where you blow your smoke. If you follow these safety tips, you’ll have no trouble using it.
